about me

I’m a ceramic artist and a compulsive knitter. I make objects from glazed knitting and crochet that relate to my personal environment, to memory and unknown skilled stitchers of the past. Sometimes I even find time to knit clothes and rugs.

  1. What beautiful work – my 16 year old daughter I have been researching history of Australian women’s everyday arts – the “gentle arts” – as part of an art project that she is undertaking. We are finding it hard to locate. Fortunately it has led us to your beautiful understated and sensitive pieces. Where do you exhibit??

  2. Hi Helen,

I’ve just come across your amazing work – wow! I am a crocheter, love it, and have just started pottery at a local studio in Wollongong… I’ve been experimenting with combining crochet with my new pots to hang them – very experimental at this stage… I’m amazed at the pieces you’ve made and I’m not surprised they have taken such a long time to develop! I’ll have to tell my pottery friends about your work! Thanks for sharing – look forward to seeing more.
